Install help

Up and running in a minute.

Mac takes one extra approval the first time. Windows is drag and drop.

Mac: the 20-second heads-up

macOS will say it "could not verify" NuSat. That's not because anything's wrong with it. Apple shows that for any app from a developer who isn't paying Apple $99 a year to sign their software, and I'm not charging you for this, so I'm not paying for that either.

Install on Mac

  1. Open the NuSat-0.1.1-mac.pkg you downloaded. macOS blocks it. Click Done.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Scroll down and click Open Anyway next to the NuSat message, then confirm with your password or Touch ID.
  3. Click through the installer. Pick Install for me only if you don't want to type an admin password.
  4. Restart your DAW. NuSat shows up under Dead Signal Audio. Logic and GarageBand use the Audio Unit; Ableton, FL Studio, Reaper and the rest use the VST3.

You only do this once. After that, NuSat loads like any other plugin.

Windows

Install on Windows

  1. Right-click NuSat-0.1.1-windows.zip and choose Extract All.
  2. Drag the NuSat.vst3 folder into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. Click Continue if Windows asks.
  3. Rescan in your DAW. FL Studio: Options → Manage plugins → Find more plugins. Ableton: Preferences → Plug-ins → Rescan. Reaper: Preferences → Plug-ins → VST → Re-scan.
